PCS provides educational programs and seminars that respond to the changing needs of medical compliance regulations. Everyone benefits from ongoing educational programs - from the physician who selects and is accountable for coding the services provided in the practice - to the receptionist who needs to understand the data that is entered. Everyone needs to be on the same page.

Training provides educational opportunities for coding and reimbursement staff to improve their understanding of accurate and appropriate documentation and coding concepts and to improve communication among all staff members involved in the submission of claims. In addition, our program(s) can be designed to assist physicians with the understanding of regulatory and compliance issues, as well as, improving documentation techniques for the appropriate capture of reimbursement for services rendered.

ØPolicies and procedures

Additionally, educational training helps to satisfy the requirements for OIG compliance and HIPPA. Coding staff must have access to current ICD-9-CM and CPT codebooks.
